Forgiveness of Sins and Healing of Diseases
A personal SOAP sharing from a church member.

Scripture

Praise the Lord O my soul, and forget not all His benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, (Psalms 103:2-3)

 

Observation & Application

​

Why are we called to praise the Lord and also not to forget all His benefits to us? Psalms 103 verses 3 to 5 that follow give the reasons. Here, I shall touch on verse 3 that has personal applications to me:

​

1. It's so comforting to know that God forgives my sins, not just some but All my sins. This promise grants me freedom from all guilt and shame I carry when I sin against Him.

​

2a. God heals all my diseases. Indeed He does heal our diseases. I was healed of stage 3 cancer about 7 years ago. A year later, I had a slipped disc and He miraculously healed me too! This came about when He appeared to me and touched the area where my slipped disc was.

​

2b. Sometimes our diseases are not healed. That does not mean God cannot heal but that the disease would bring about a greater good for what is to follow.

Prayer

 

Dear Lord, teach me to praise You from the depths of my soul. Help me not to forget all the benefits I have received from You. Thank you for forgiving all my sins and healing me of my diseases.
